Wood Casting

Israeli designer Hilla Shamia joins the materials of aluminum and wood in order to create the Wood Casting series. Using a whole tree trunk, she pours molten aluminum onto the wood. The wood gets cut up and put into a mold to form the frame and legs of the piece. Each piece is unique!
