Chic Ideas For Shoe Storage
Shoe storage isn’t an easy task. Sometimes it is hard to find a good looking piece of furniture to keep our shoes or to incorporate one of those shoe storage units in our home decoration. What if instead of hiding our shoes in a closet or inside an ugly shoe furniture we use a vintage chest to display them?
Oh I bet Carrie from Sex and The City would ‘ve been delirious with happiness having such a tresure for her Manolo Blahniks! There is a combination from heaven. A vintage chest, a juju hat and abstract art paintings. I want them home sooo badly!
I suspect that grandma will consider it as a sacrilege!
If an elegant classic vintage piece isn’t an option consider using a rustic cupboard instead. Anything that doesn’t scream “shoe storage unit” will do!
What if you can’t spare the space required for a cabinet? Then maybe a rattan basket will host elegantly few pairs of shoes.
Or a metal tray full of pebbles waiting in our foyer to receive our shoes. How elegant is that?
Decorating With Cable Spools
Wooden pallets are still appearing everywhere. Lets have a look at cable spools and how we can use them to decorate our home. My aunt has one of those since 2 decades ago, long before repurposing old stuff became a trend. She uses it for table in the garden and I remember thinking how smart idea it was!
Tables are the most favorite makeover of a cable spool. It can be a beautiful and handy coffee table. You can let the wood show or you can paint it as you like.
It could be a great piece for the playroom where your little ones can draw or play on them as they like.
A fabulous piece for the dining room! One of the most poplar ideas is this table that provides great book storage as well. It can be transformed into a nice stool! You can put a glass on the top or wrap a sisal rope around the base. How about a mini bar? |
They can be used greatly even in a retail shop! They are very popular outdoors, make lovely and cheap tables for your patio or your veranda. |
You can make rocking chairs out of them. |
Really useful little things, aren’t they?
