Raw And Luxurious

An amazing apartment that combines raw and natural elements with modern and luxurious. The fireplace is unique in its simplicity!

The kitchen might be the star of this house. Recycled shutters for kitchen cabinets and island made of concrete.

The dining table is fabulous! I love the way raw and unfinished is married to sleek and modern design.

A Beautiful House In Spain

This gorgeous eclectic house is designed by interior designer Annick Petersen and it is located in Spain. Actually it is Annick’s home residence. All white with beautiful hardwood floors and pops of colors. An eclectic mix of furniture, vintage pieces meet Ikea and fabulous design items, all combined greatly together!

The kitchen is probably my favorite room in this house. I love the eclectic feeling that comes from this gorgeous island!

The daughter’s room combines Ikea furniture with classic and vintage pieces. The outcome is great!

Art In The Kitchen

Pinned Image

thedecorista

I strongly believe that art belongs to every single room in the house, especially in auxilliary spaces like the kitchen or the bathroom for that matter. Most of the time when someone chooses wall art for the kitchen prefers something that depicts food for some reason, or maybe flowers.  Lets see some kitchens with interesting art choises.

Most of these kitchens are kind of unconventional, with no upper cupboards, maybe with some shelves and the paintings look really nice above the sink. Actually they don’t look much like kitchens.

If this is not the case for your house you shouldn’t be disappointed, there are other ways to decorate with art your kitchen without dismantle the cupboards.

Do your best by benefiting from every corner of your kitchen. Use it by displaying your art.

Let the space above the sink empty and use it to display a beautiful painting. Something you’ll love to see every time you do the dishes!

A classic painting will give character even to a simple and modest kitchen.

While a modern abstract painting will look great in a classic kitchen!

Put some nice small paintings on the shelves, between cups and plates.

And if the kitchen is plain and indifferent, some bold color on the walls combined with interestiing art will change the look dramatically.  So choose some art pieces and find them a place in your kitchen!

A House In Netherlands

Oddly enough it’s not white! On the contrary this gorgeous house is decorated in warm grey and chocolate tones that make you feel cozy. Great vintage pieces combined  with classic furniture and some rustic elements, create a space full of charactere and style!  I adore the TV corner, so chic!!

Rustic elements like cart wheels, ladders and huge ceramic pots are disparsed all over the house. The mixing of textures is really interesting!

The gorgeous lighting fixture dominates the dining area.

The kitchen is really simple and has a lot of charactere!

Absolutely love the headboard!

The bathroom is just fabulous!

A Pop Dining Corner

Due to connection problems I was away for a few days. Let’s have a look at this cute dining corner in Victoria’s kitchen. Victoria is the author of  SF girl by bay. Chalkboard paint on the wall gives depth in the room and makes it visually more interesting

The sofa bed from Ikea creates a cozy corner and looks great with those cute cushions in bright colors and motives.

This cabinet painted in black inside dipslays remarkably the ceramic household items.

The white table combined with the pink design chairs bring  out the pop style!

Love the old kart full of books! It would serve me greatly!
